Take the Vienna City Airport Train from VIE to Wien Mitte in about 16 minutes. Follow the green CAT signs, scan your mobile ticket, and ride a clean double-decker train with Wi-Fi, USB ports, and power outlets. Selected airlines offer baggage drop and boarding passes at Wien Mitte before your flight.

Ride the Hungerburgbahn from Innsbruck Station Altstadt, then visit Alpenzoo, home to more than 2,000 Alpine animals in hillside enclosures. This self-guided combo takes about two hours and includes a round trip on the funicular. Redeem your ticket only at Station Congress, not at the zoo.

Start at Congress Station near Innsbruck’s old town and ride Zaha Hadid’s Hungerburg funicular to the mountain district in about eight minutes. You can stop near the Alpine Zoo, enjoy the panorama platform, or have coffee and Tyrolean food at the top. The ticket is valid for one day and includes the roundtrip ride, but not the cable cars to Seegrube or Hafelekar.

Take the Hungerburg Funicular from Rennweg 3 in Innsbruck to Hungerburg in about eight minutes, then return when you like during opening hours. The mobile ticket includes the funicular round trip. You can add Alpine Zoo admission, but the higher Nordkette cable cars require a separate ticket.
